How to Vote

Registered voters who reside in the Calamus-Wheatland Community School District will have multiple options for casting a ballot.

 

Election day is Tuesday, November 5, 2024, and the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Voters can find their polling location by searching their address on the Iowa Secretary of State’s website at https://sos.iowa.gov/elections. A valid ID will be needed in order to vote.

 

If you are not registered to vote, you can complete a registration form and return it to your county auditor’s office before October 21. You may also register on election day at your polling location.

 

Registered voters can complete a request form for a mailed absentee ballot from their county auditor ’s office beginning August 27.

Mailed ballots will be sent out beginning October 17. The final day to request a mailed ballot is October 21.

 

In-person absentee voting will be available starting on October 16 at your county auditor’s office. This will be available weekdays during regular business hours at:

The Clinton County Auditor's Office will be open for absentee voting on Saturday, November 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Scott County Auditor's Office will also be open November 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m..
